The Role:
The Junior School Head of the Arts leads a diverse and talented team of specialist teachers across Visual and Digital Arts, Drama, Dance and Music. This role is about more than coordination it’s about shaping a bold vision for the Arts at Carey and ensuring it is woven into the fabric of Junior School life. The successful candidate will guide curriculum, foster staff collaboration, and create opportunities for students to showcase their creativity through performances, exhibitions and productions. With strong leadership and a passion for innovation, the Head of the Arts will inspire both colleagues and students to see the Arts as central to learning, wellbeing and personal growth.

The Average Day:
- Lead and inspire Arts staff across Visual and Digital Arts, Drama, Dance and Music.
- Shape and implement a cohesive vision for the Arts in the Junior School.
- Drive curriculum innovation and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Create and oversee performances, productions and exhibitions that showcase student talent.
- Champion the role of the Arts as a vital part of Carey’s holistic education.
The Person:
To be successful in this position, you will have:

A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
